Swan Lake

Dark and threatening forests are depicted with broad sweeps beneath louring skies. These colossal backdrops for Swan Lake were painted on Optitrans plastics, affording them a dream like luminosity; a rich glow that extends into and permeates this productions built scenery. Here we find candle lit rooms of palatial red and gold that set the scene for some of the world's most beloved choreography.

Act III built scenery painted with Stuart Hall, Sophie Fuller, Mark Fairclough and Brian Watkins. Assisting designer John Macfarlane and senior painters Stuart Hall and Rowan Plinston with the finishing touches to various backdrops on Optitrans plastic and gauze.
