Alice's Adventures Underground
The surreal world of Lewis Carrol's Alice in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass is warped even further in Gerald Barry's short sharp opera. We are taken through sooty kitchens, down wild wooded paths, past singing cakes and into murderous gardens at break neck speed. This is a fun and frantic opera with appearances from Carrol's best loved characters in all their maddening glory.
